The JVC GY-HM180U 4K Camcorder features a single 1/2.3-inch CMOS image sensor with 12.4 million pixels, ensuring high-quality video capture. Its integrated 12x F1.2-3.5 zoom lens (35mm equivalent: 29.5-354mm) provides flexibility in framing your shots. The Dynamic Zoom in HD mode combines optical zoom and pixel mapping, enabling seamless and lossless 24x zoom. You can record stunning 4K Ultra HD (150 Mbps, 24/30p) directly to SDXC (UHS-I Speed class 3) memory cards. For Full HD recording, it offers 4:2:2 recording at 50Mbps (24-60p).

The JVC GY-HM180U also supports live 4K UHD output via the HDMI connector and 3G-SDI output for HD signals. It features a 2-position ND filter (1/4, 1/16) and a built-in stereo microphone. The audio handle with 2 XLR connectors allows for professional audio recording. Dual SDHC/SDXC slots enable dual, backup, and continuous recording.

The camcorder is equipped with a 3.5-inch color LCD display (920K pixel) with a smart focus assist function, along with a 0.24-inch color viewfinder (1.56M pixel) also featuring a smart focus assist function. It supports wired remote control and offers 9 user button assignable functions.
